A Holistic Body Massage is a whole body treatment which focuses on the mental, emotional and spiritual wellbeing as well as the physical. I combine Holistic Massage techniques with all treatments so clients are getting the full benefit of therapeutic touch.
Sports massage is proven to release and reduce muscular tension and pain, reducing your chances of becoming injured and treating existing injuries for a quicker recovery. Releasing stiff, sore trigger points and increasing range of movement and motion, is the primary aim of this massage. This is done using specialist sports techniques such as MET, Trigger point therapy and Soft Tissue Release. I use a combination of sports techniques with other modalities. I do not work purely with 'sports massage' alone as relaxation is paramount to recovery so all sports massage treatments will include a more holistic approach. After the first trimester, pregnancy massage is proven to help with muscular tension and pain associated with the bodily changes during pregnancy. Regular treatments offer great benefit to an expecting mother, and can help with your wellbeing during this journey and after giving birth. Pre and post natal massage can help enormously with recovery, and both mental and physical health for the mother. I will use a mixture of light and deep strokes and happy to focus on problem areas if need be. Scalp, feet and full body experience in a 90 minute session.
