There is a great need for healing and the transformative power of therapeutic touch in the world, Now more than ever before perhaps.

I was training as an arborist in the Rail Industry near Brighton in 2019. It was not a long term goal but an industry I had already spent a few years working in, as a wood cutter and gardener.

As luck would have it, I happened to go for an interview at Brighton School of Massage with an incredible tutor called Angelic. She had spent decades travelling the world teaching various massage therapies. Angelic convinced me to enrol on her six month holistic massage course, and so it was.

Nearly 4 years later, I am a qualified Holistic, Pregnancy, Sports and Indian Head Massage practitioner. Those days of throwing logs and chainsaws around are over, well almost! I have spent the last 3 years, during my time working away all over the South of England, training and doing mobile massage.

Full time work was making it difficult to transition to more massage; as such moving back home to Cumbria has allowed me to pursue this passion.

My belief in the power of massage to help with physical, mental, emotional and spiritual wellness is at the heart of what I practice.

Seeing many people from all walks of life experience the amazing benefits, both immediate and long term, from regular therapeutic massage has been very eye opening.

Over the years I have had quite a few injuries and accidents; and mostly recovered thanks to the great practitioners of various therapies I’ve met all over the country. Much of my spare time has gone into intensively researching ways to reduce pain, improve mobility and experiment with which exercises that assist recovery.

My unique experience doing a very intense manual job over the years helps in understanding the varied needs of clients, particularly those looking for deep tissue and remedial treatments to help with chronic issues.

I also take a particular interest in massage for mental well-being, it is a profound tool that can be used to help with those suffering from trauma and abuse. An empathetic and compassionate touch can work wonders.

“Lola was great! Not only did she give me a great massage but shared her knowledge about general fitness advice, which was really useful. She is very friendly and attentive to the style of massage I wanted. I am looking forward to going again.” Katie Stephens

“I have had massages in UK, USA, Europe and South East Asia.

I MUST mention that Lola is one of the best massage therapists I have ever come across.

Her skills are far advanced. She knows how to tune in to the problem area of joints and muscles and treat effectively and with care.” Wasim H

“I’ve had a few Massages from Lola and she’s incredible! She’s fixed so many aches and pains, I feel a significant improvement as early as the next day and leave her table feeling deeply relaxed. Chronic pain vanishing overnight which is something many other physical therapists haven’t been able to do for me. Calm, gentle and reassuring with a wonderful space for massage. All the right smells, sounds and temperature. I wouldn’t go to anyone else now! Highly recommend” Amy Luke

I am in the process of setting up a complimentary massage day of taster sessions for those in the community, who are in need.

Details will be posted over the coming months.
